School Board Members: Talking and Reflecting Together

Sound district leadership begins with a trusted, cohesive school board /superintendent team. TRUSTteam™ gets you there faster. After the successful pilot program during the 2009-10 academic year, TRUSTteam™ is here again to help develop first term board members.
What is TRUSTteam™?
Based on the successful START model, TRUSTteam™ provides similar opportunities
for first-term board members to successfully increase their effectiveness. More
importantly, it is an opportunity to meet and reflect on the challenges and demands
of their elected positions with other school board members. Similar to START,
confidential discussions take place in small groups of trustees and are led by
experienced board members.
Typical Schedule
Forums will be held four times annually with meeting locations to be determined by response levels and ease of accessibility. One of the four meetings will be a combined meeting held in Lansing, MI.
Is there A Fee to Participate?
Only a registration fee of $100 which covers meeting costs and a drawing for a scholarship to be awarded to a deserving senior by the winning board member.
